Job summary

Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) – System Computing Services is hiring a part-time Student Service Desk Representative for the UNLV campus. You will support customers via phone and email, create tickets, and assist with light admin tasks. On-the-job training will be provided and a background check may be conducted.

The role requires 15–24 hours per week during regular business hours, with a pay rate of $11 per hour and a 50% full-time equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student with a semester load of at least 6 credits and minimum GPA requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass online defensive driving course.
• Experience in providing customer service and clear communication.
• Willingness to follow security standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and emails from NSHE customers.
• Create and assign tickets in the service ticket system.
• Assist with light administrative tasks and mailings.
• Occasionally drive state vehicles to/from McCarran airport; other duties as assigned.
