Job summary

Nevada State University is recruiting a Student Worker - ITS Support Center Assistant in the Information & Technology Services department. The role provides tier 1 tech support for students, faculty and staff, handling ticketing, password resets, and basic troubleshooting.

Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits, may work up to 19.5 hours per week, and earn $14.00 per hour. Posting closes 06/30/2027.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student with 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at the institution.
Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Provide tier 1 technology phone, online, and walk-in support for students, faculty and staff.
Create tickets and route work orders.
Perform password resets and basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and campus network services.
Offer remote troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
Assist in developing training materials and knowledge base articles.
Assist ITS staff with events, classroom services, and hardware & software deployments.
Arrive for scheduled work hours promptly.
Adhere to security policies and confidentiality.
Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly.
Maintain high level of professionalism at all times.
Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Provide feedback to management to improve processes.
