Responsibilities

• Assists the Route Coordinator in responding to inquiries from parents/guardians about bus stops, routes, schedules, and transportation concerns.
• Coordinates with schools regarding transportation assignments and shuttle schedules.
• Uses routing software and GPS to assist with creating, reviewing, and modifying bus routes and stops.
• Maintains transportation records for thousands of students and updates assignments throughout the year.
• Reviews routes for capacity and efficiency and suggests improvements.
• Coordinates with school personnel to assign appropriate transportation resources per student needs, including accessibility considerations.
• Acts as primary contact for transportation contractors regarding route changes and questions.
• Creates and maintains routing spreadsheets and summer transportation records.
• Ensures accuracy of student alerts and data in the transportation system.
