Job summary

The Nashua School District is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage safe, efficient student transportation from preschool through grade 12 in Nashua. You will lead route planning, bus stops, and coordination with schools and parents, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a degree or equivalent experience related to transportation, business, education, or related field.
• Experience with Tyler Technology or similar transportation software is preferred but not required.
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills are essential.
• Must have a customer service focus and be a results-oriented self-starter.
• Knowledge of Nashua's geographical layout is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular and special education bus routing with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Respond to parent concerns about transportation and bus stops/routes.
• Assist in managing transportation contracts and ensure provider accountability.
• Maintain transportation software and databases for accurate routing and student Info.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation standards.
• Coordinate field trips, athletic trips, and emergency responses with the district.
