Overview

The Student Transportation Operations Manager is a people leader responsible for the daily operations of one or more transportation facilities within a school district or contract. The role includes ensuring employee engagement, operational safety, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily operations of assigned facilities, including maintenance, dispatching, training, and communication.
2. Communicate effectively with staff, drivers, school district contacts, and community members.
3. Manage recruitment, training, coaching, and performance of drivers and staff.
4. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and contracts.
5. Handle financial tasks such as payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
6. Engage with the community and participate in district meetings.
7. Drive business development and implement new technologies for efficiency.
8. Maintain necessary credentials and be prepared to operate a school bus if needed.

Working Conditions

Primarily indoor in an operations environment, with periodic outdoor work and travel within Pennsylvania and potentially outside the state. Flexibility for work beyond 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
