LifeWise Academy in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site.

The ideal candidate is punctual, has a clean driving record, meets the age requirements, and can pass background checks and drug testing. This non-exempt, hourly position involves enforcing safety rules and bus inspections, with occasional classroom volunteering as needed.

Qualifications

• Regular driver's license with at least 3 years licensed history.
• Age 21–80; additional docs for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no major incidents in 5 years.
• Background check and annual physician's statement if needed.
• Pre-employment and regular drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting; maintain calm, caring demeanor.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with Director.
