Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. A mature Christian faith and local church involvement are required, along with a valid regular driver’s license and a clean five-year driving record.

The role is part-time, non-exempt (hourly) with responsibilities including obeying traffic laws, maintaining the bus, and assisting students. Additional duties may include classroom volunteering with Director approval.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature Christian faith per LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license and a clean driving record in the past five years.
• Age between 21 and 80; documentation for drivers over 75.
• Background check and annual physician’s statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment and randomly thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Follow traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the bus and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
