Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Secondary Paraeducator to support students and teachers at the high school and middle school levels. This full-time position covers 184 days per year with 6 hours per day and offers insurance benefits for assignments of six hours or more.

The role involves assisting in departments, supervising in hall, cafeteria, study hall, and testing support, and using technology to help students with lessons.

Starting date is 10/14/26; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work with technology and computers.
• Strong communication and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to supervise students and cooperate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support students and teachers in specific departments.
• Provide individual or small-group instructional support as directed.
• Supervise students in hall, cafeteria, study hall, and related areas.
• Support in media center, testing, and other assigned duties.
