Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator / Teacher Assistant for Special Education to support students with disabilities in mainstream or resource settings. The role is full-time, 184 days/6.5 hours per day, with insurance benefits for positions 6+ hours daily.

Responsibilities include assisting instruction, monitoring progress, behavior management, and ensuring safety. Start date is 8/31/26 with opportunities for growth and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• PCA certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• 60 sem/90 qtr credits or an associate degree or passed ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Monitor and record student progress across domains.
• Support in managing behavior and ensure student safety.
