Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking an Educational Support Paraeducator to assist students under a licensed staff member and help with basic curriculum work. You will reinforce learning skills and support classroom teachers in delivering instruction.

The role involves preparing materials, monitoring students, recording achievement, and assisting with behavior management. Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: 48 college credits, ParaPro or WorkKeys, or equivalent documented by HR.
• No prior work experience required.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment (phones, copiers, fax, email).
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Intermediate English language skills.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others, maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in small groups.
• Monitor behavior and reinforce appropriate conduct during activities and field trips.
• Perform clerical tasks: typing, filing, inventory, data entry, light bookkeeping.
• Support other events such as field trips or drills as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
