Job summary

Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, GA seeks a Paraprofessional (Instructional and Media/ESOL) to support teachers and students in classrooms or the media center. You will assist with materials, small-group instruction, attendance, and library tasks, while helping students access media resources and technology.

Collaboration with staff is essential for student success. Role requires high school diploma or GED, potential GACE testing or higher education substitutions, and the ability to lift/move

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and candidate must meet GaPSC paraprofessional certification requirements.
• 60 sem hours or 90 quarter hours may substitute for GACE, or an Associate's degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
• Experience with classroom/medial center tasks and library operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Works with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Supports daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, attendance, grading quizzes as assigned.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assists with bulletin boards, learning centers, and media displays.
• Monitors library use and assists with instructional tasks using media/technology resources.
• Assists with inventory, processing new materials, and displays in the media center.
• Supports circulation desk and checks materials in/out with Destiny Library Manager.
