Job summary

Amergis seeks a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education team. The role includes aiding with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as prescribed by professionals.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, meet regulatory requirements, and be at least 18 years old. CPR may be required and health documentation must be current, with employment contingent on state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under supervision.
• Assist students with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.
• Coordinate with special education department and supervising staff.
• Document observations and progress as required by the school and program.
