Job summary

College of Southern Idaho is seeking a Workforce Development Student Specialist to support learners from entry through completion. You will provide front-line service to students and industry partners, guide course selection and registrations, and help manage training programs with a data-driven approach.

The role emphasizes organization, adaptability, and a student-focused mindset to promote successful outcomes and retention within the Workforce Development team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in business, HR, education, or related field preferred.
  • Proven customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of workforce development and confidentiality/data security.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database systems.
  • Willingness to assist across Workforce Development team and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for learners and industry partners.
  • Assist students with course selection, registration, and program requirements; liaise with the Work Based Learning Center.
  • Support development and coordination of training courses and materials; help schedule sessions.
  • Enter and manage student data in the enrollment system Lumens and ensure data accuracy.
  • Uphold core values of accountability, integrity, service, and coachability.
