Job summary

PeoplePartners seeks a Student Experience & Wellbeing Officer to help Australian vocational education students overcome challenges, stay engaged, and progress toward qualifications. You will handle complaints, withdrawals, and complex support cases while collaborating with education and support teams.

Ideal candidates have strong case management, conflict resolution, and data-driven approaches to improve retention and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within Australian education, RTOs, or VET.
• 3+ years in student services, retention, or related student support role.
• Experience managing student complaints, withdrawals, escalations, and complex student cases.
• Knowledge of student engagement, retention, progression, and lifecycle management.
• Understanding of accessibility, inclusion, and equity in education.
• Conflict resolution training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage student complaints, withdrawal requests, special considerations, and review requests.
• Investigate student concerns and coordinate resolutions per policies.
• Provide individualized support to students facing financial hardship or accessibility challenges.
• Identify disengaged and at-risk students via engagement monitoring and record audits.
• Develop and implement student retention and progression strategies.
• Monitor engagement, withdrawal trends, and progression outcomes.
• Coordinate with training, education, careers, and support teams to address concerns.
• Maintain accurate student records using CRM, LMS, and SMS.
• Manage student cases, document interventions, and track resolutions.
• Prepare retention, engagement, and performance reports.
• Analyze data and recommend improvements to student support processes.
• Support QA activities and compliance with education policies.
