Job summary

Googong High School (Prov) is seeking a School Learning Support Officer to assist students with diverse learning needs. You will work under a teacher to support achievement of educational outcomes, welfare, health and wellbeing activities, and may contribute to pre-school, vision, hearing and bilingual streams.

The role requires Working with Children Check, mandatory department training, first aid readiness, and medications administration training as needed.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check clearance.
• Mandatory training required by the Department of Education.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training relevant to the role.
• Administration of Medications training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments.
• Support student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required under supervision of a teacher.
• Assist in streams/settings such as pre-school, vision/hearing support and bilingual programs.
