Job summary

Uralla Central School is seeking a Student Support Officer to join the wellbeing team on a full-time ongoing basis. The role focuses on enhancing student wellbeing and learning outcomes in partnership with the wellbeing team and the school counselling service, delivering targeted support and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.

Applicants must have a completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline, and WWCC.

Qualifications

• Must have a completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline and attach with application.
• Experience in school wellbeing or counselling support is desirable.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal education policies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support student wellbeing and learning outcomes within the school community.
• Collaborate with wellbeing team and school counselling service to deliver targeted programs.
• Develop referral pathways to child and family support agencies and liaise with external partners.
