Job summary

Grafton High School is seeking a Student Support Officer to enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes within the school community. You will work with the wellbeing team and counselling service to provide targeted support and participate in whole-school wellbeing initiatives.

You will collaborate with external agencies to create referral pathways for students and families, contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.
• Knowledge of and commitment to NSW Department of Education Aboriginal education policies.
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support to students within the school community.
• Collaborate with the wellbeing team and school counselling service to improve learning outcomes.
• Lead whole-school wellbeing initiatives and evidence-based programs.
• Create referral pathways for students and families to external child and family support services.
