Job summary

Year Up United is seeking a Student Services Manager to provide case management and direct support to students, coordinating onboarding, counseling, and access to community resources. You will work with site staff to reduce barriers, supervise MSW interns, and participate in program development to improve student outcomes.

The role requires a social work professional who can manage confidential information, facilitate groups, and engage diverse student populations, with on-site presence required

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred as an advocate or case manager for historically underserved individuals, particularly young adults.
• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited school is strongly preferred (SIFI certification required to manage MSW interns)
• Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols and modalities
• Extensive knowledge of local social services resources and networks
• Experience with facilitation and instruction in group environments

Responsibilities

• Participate in prospective student engagement activities to identify students likely to succeed in Year Up United program.
• Conduct one-on-one interviews and assessments of prospective students to evaluate readiness and program fit.
• Conduct onboarding interviews and write plans for conditionally accepted students.
• Collaborate with site staff to address student needs by sourcing community supports and referrals.
• Provide one-on-one crisis intervention and develop Barrier Reduction Support Plans.
• Document student interactions, case management, and referrals in the organization’s database.
• Develop and facilitate supportive/ psycho-educational groups and community resource groups.
• Supervise MSW interns and coordinate licensure requirements as needed.
• Represent Student Services in site meetings and contribute to program improvements.
• Engage in partnerships to strengthen on-site and off-site student support services
