Job summary

Year Up United is seeking a dedicated Student Services Manager to support prospective and current students with professional counseling, case management, and barrier-reduction strategies. You will collaborate with site staff, conduct interviews, and oversee MSW interns while maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

The role requires experience in crisis intervention, strong communication, and a commitment to diversity.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as an advocate or case manager for underserved individuals, especially young adults.
• MSW preferred; ability to secure SIFI certification to supervise MSW interns.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols and modalities.
• Existing network of local social services resources.
• Experience building relationships with agencies and schools.
• Strong written case notes and documentations in a professional system.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Effective communication with diverse audiences.
• Experience with group facilitation and instruction.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Participate in prospective student engagement to identify successful candidates.
• Conduct interviews and assessments of prospective students for readiness.
• Onboarding interviews and plans for conditionally accepted students.
• Collaborate with site staff to address student needs and connect to resources.
• Provide one-on-one crisis intervention and develop Barrier Reduction Plans.
