Job summary

Year Up United seeks a Student Services Manager to oversee professional support services for Year Up United students, provide case management, and coordinate access to external resources. The role requires a social work background, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

You will coach, facilitate groups, develop partnerships with community organizations, supervise MSW interns, and contribute to program growth while upholding Year Up United values.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of advocacy or case management experience with historically underserved young adults
• MSW degree strongly preferred; ability to secure SIFI certification to manage MSW interns
• Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols; ability to document clear written case notes
• Extensive local social services network; ability to build partnerships with agencies and schools
• Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
• Experience facilitating group sessions and workshops

Responsibilities

• Participate in prospective student engagement to identify suitable candidates
• Conduct interviews and onboarding plans for conditionally accepted students
• Collaborate with site staff to address needs by sourcing community supports and referrals
• Provide one-on-one crisis intervention and barrier reduction planning
• Document student interactions and referrals in the database
• Develop supportive or psycho-educational groups as needed
• Supervise MSW interns and provide licensure supervision
• Represent Student Services in site meetings and coordinate with partners for services
