Year Up United is seeking a Student Services Manager to provide professional support to prospective and current Year Up United students, monitoring success and mitigating barriers. You will supervise MSW interns, coordinate community resources, and develop programs with site staff to strengthen student services.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, ethics, and working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work preferred; SIFI certification may be required to manage Student Services MSW interns
• Experience as advocate or case manager for historically underserved and disenfranchised individuals, particularly young adults
• Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols and modalities
• Existing network of local social services resources
• History of cultivating relationships with agencies and schools
• Proficient in professional case management documentation and writing
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Effective communication across diverse audiences
• Experience with facilitation of group environments
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Responsabilités

• Participate in prospective student engagement activities to identify students who will be successful in the Year Up United program
• Conduct one-on-one interviews and assessments of prospective students to assess readiness and Year Up United’s ability to support them through the program
• Onboarding interviews and written plans for conditionally accepted students
• Collaborate with site-based staff to address student needs and barriers by sourcing community supports and referrals
• Build relationships with students through individual meetings and group sessions
• Provide one-on-one crisis intervention and develop Barrier Reduction Support Plans
• Document student interactions and referrals in the organization’s database
• Develop psycho-educational and community resource groups as needed
• Participate in weekly site level meetings to discuss progress and provide direction
• Supervise Year Up United MSW interns and support licensure as needed
• Represent Student Services in program discussions and collaborations
• Make recommendations to strengthen partnerships for student support services
