Job summary

ANSEP is seeking a part-time Program Assistant at the University of Alaska Bethel campus to support 9th-12th graders earning college credits. The role runs through the 2026-2027 academic year, ending in May 2027.

The position emphasizes safety, clear communication, and collaboration with staff; occasional evenings and weekend work, with possible stays in UA dorms to supervise statewide events.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework in STEM or education with 1–2 years related experience; teaching certification preferred.
• Current CPR with AED/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 21+, valid AK driver's license with three years of driving history; driving an ANSEP vehicle.
• Must be able to lift or move 25 to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience working with rural and Indigenous Alaska populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct student supervision and academic support.
• Coordinate logistics and prep activity supplies.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Maintain student attendance records and supervise statewide events.
• Follow university policies and drive a 15-passenger van when needed.
