Job summary

ANSEP is seeking a Program Assistant for the Kotzebue campus to support 9th-12th grade students in the Acceleration Academy. This 9-month, full-time role includes direct student supervision, academic assistance, and coordinating daily activities to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment on UA Kotzebue campus.

The ideal candidate will have some college coursework in STEM or education, 1–2 years of experience with school-aged children, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework in STEM or education field, plus 1–2 years working with school-aged children.
• Teaching certification preferred.
• CPR with AED/First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Experience with rural and Indigenous Alaska populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct student supervision during activities and classes.
• Provide academic support and assist instructors.
• Coordinate logistics and prepare activity supplies.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment in a university setting.
• Follow university policies and maintain professional boundaries.
