Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a Student Success Specialist to support retention initiatives and graduation goals across campus locations. You will screen students for academic issues, coordinate referrals, and track outcomes while maintaining records and assisting with workshops and events.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and collaboration with multiple departments. The role emphasizes communication, detailed record-keeping, and timely problem solving to help students

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Some related experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management are essential.
• Ability to analyze information and solve problems with data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage with students to identify academic and personal challenges.
• Refer students to campus resources and follow up on outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of program participation and interactions.
• Coordinate activities of staff and student workers; assist with scheduling.
• Organize and present retention and completion data; prepare required reports.
• Support marketing content development for department and collaborate with other units.
