Job summary

UCSD seeks a leader to oversee a portfolio of student support and peer engagement initiatives, including Student First Stop, Mentoring for All, Mentor Collective, and training programs. You will manage daily operations, supervise ambassadors, and oversee vendor relations to expand access to resources and strengthen student success.

You will coordinate program development, engagement, training, assessment, communications, and recruitment while driving continuous improvement and campus

Qualifications

• Knowledge of counseling theories and practices related to student success.
• Understanding of student development and mentoring approaches.
• Experience supporting peer mentoring, coaching, and advocacy.
• Ability to coordinate multiple campus initiatives and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for a portfolio of student support and peer engagement initiatives.
• Oversee daily operations of Student First Stop and Mentor Collective programs; supervise staff.
• Lead program development, student/mentor engagement, training, and partnerships.
• Coordinate assessment, communications, recruitment, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Plan and coordinate campus-wide activities such as National Mentoring Month initiatives.
• Ensure accessibility, confidentiality, safety, and adherence to applicable policies.
