Job summary

San Diego State University in San Diego invites applications for a Student Engagement and Inclusive Programs Assistant. The role supports inclusive leadership, allyship, and student engagement, mentoring peers, coordinating events, and delivering educational materials across campus.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in student services, data-informed program development, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field.
• One year of professional Student Services experience or graduate-level related education.
• Ability to analyze data and summarize findings.
• Strong written and oral communication, with ability to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Support inclusive leadership trainings, workshops, and allyship initiatives.
• Facilitate learning activities that encourage reflection and community connection.
• Support recruitment and guidance of Diversity Peer Educators and student employees.
• Collaborate with campus diversity partners to foster cross-departmental work.
• Create and update outreach materials and coordinate event logistics.
• Collect participation data to support reporting and program improvement.
