Job summary

San Diego State University’s Center for Inclusive Excellence is seeking a Student Engagement and Inclusive Programs Assistant to support inclusive leadership, allyship, and student engagement initiatives on campus. You will mentor Diversity Peer Educators, develop educational materials, and coordinate events with campus partners to foster belonging and leadership development.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Student Affairs and Campus Diversity, with telecommuting up to 1 day per week

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four‑year college or university in behavioral sciences, public or business administration or related field.
• One year of professional Student Services work at entry trainee level or equivalent graduate education may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Support inclusive leadership trainings, workshops, and student engagement programs.
• Facilitate learning activities and mentor student employees.
• Coordinate outreach materials and campus partner collaborations.
• Attend meetings with diversity partners to foster cross‑departmental collaborations.
• Manage program logistics, documentation, and internship requirements.
• Summarize participation data to support reporting and program improvement.
