Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist licensed staff and support individual or small groups with basic curriculum work. You will reinforce learning skills, help prepare classroom materials, monitor students, and evaluate student achievement under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, maintaining records, and supporting disciplinary procedures.

Qualifications

Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
No professional work experience required.
Title I assignments must meet one of the following: two years of college, an associate’s or higher degree, or demonstrated knowledge for instruction in reading/language arts, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, and documentation.
Support students with classroom activities, delivering curriculum to individuals and small groups.
Monitor students and reinforce behavior during activities and transitions.
Perform basic clerical tasks for the classroom teacher (typing, filing, inventory, data entry, etc.).
Assist with field trips, fire drills, and other classroom events as needed.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
