Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist licensed staff in supporting students with basic curriculum work and classroom activities in Centennial, CO. You will help prepare materials, monitor behavior, and reinforce learning alongside teachers.

The role includes preparing instructional materials, supervising groups, and performing light clerical duties while ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments must meet one of the following requirements: two years of study at an institution of higher education; or an associate’s or higher degree; or demonstrated knowledge via assessment of reading, writing, and mathematics readiness.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Frequency: Daily, 30%
• Assist students with classroom activities. Deliver curriculum to individuals and small groups to ensure mastery of subjects. Frequency: Daily, 30%
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities (play, lunch, detention, classroom, field trips). Frequency: Daily, 20%
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher (typing, filing, data entry, ordering supplies, etc.). Frequency: Daily, 10%
• Assist with other classroom events such as field trips or fire drills. Frequency: Daily, 5%
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Frequency: Daily, 5%
