Job summary

BRCC seeks a College Navigator in Baton Rouge, LA, to provide holistic academic advising from intake through graduation or transfer. You will guide program selection, course registration, and progress monitoring, helping students stay on track with personalized plans and follow-ups.

The role emphasizes proactive outreach, collaboration with financial aid and other departments, and maintaining detailed advising notes to support student success across our campus community.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in academic support services.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for 5 years of experience.
• Strong communication, data analysis, and advising skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students by identifying programs meeting goals and guiding course selection; provide regular guidance and support.
• Maintain advising notes and student records in the Student Management system.
• Provide proactive outreach and referrals to services as needed.
• Collaborate with departments to improve the student experience from inquiry to graduation.
