Job summary

The Baton Rouge Community College invites applications for the College Navigator role to deliver holistic academic advising and personalized support from intake to graduation. You will analyze progress, help with course selection and financial planning, and refer students to appropriate offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in academic support programs.
• Bachelor's degree can substitute for 5 years of experience.
• Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students by guiding program choices and course requirements, with regular check-ins.
• Review progress and advise on graduation or transfer options, maintaining detailed records.
• Analyze data to trigger proactive outreach and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Collaborate with departments to optimize the student experience from inquiry to completion.
