Job summary

Blue Mountain Community College is seeking a Navigator to guide prospective and current students through admissions, enrollment, and first-term course selection. The role involves outreach, referrals, and use of college systems to support student success and persistence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ year related experience preferred.
• Experience in student services (admissions, advising, outreach) is beneficial.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information about BMCC programs, admissions steps, financial aid, and support services; refer questions to appropriate office.
• Help students identify goals, explore programs, and understand requirements.
• Contact students via email, phone, and in-person meetings to assist with admissions and enrollment.
• Attend outreach events and support recruitment strategies within the service district.
• Provide goal-oriented guidance, help set education milestones, and coordinate referrals to services.
• Utilize administrative software to track prospects, enroll students, and provide advisement.
• Assist with course advisement and ensure registration for program-related classes.
