Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking a Project Navigator (Student Support Specialist IV) to serve as the primary student success liaison for the Workforce Solutions Fast Track Academy. The role recruits, onboards, and provides comprehensive case management to students in online workforce training programs, helping them enroll, stay engaged, and connect with employment opportunities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-focused, and passionate about workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Workforce Development, Social Services, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of six years of experience in a related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in student services, advising, workforce development, recruitment, case management, or related areas.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective students into Workforce Solutions programs and attend community events.
• Assist students with application and enrollment processes; ensure documentation is complete.
• Provide proactive, student-centered support throughout program participation.
• Monitor student progress and identify at-risk students; coordinate interventions.
• Develop relationships with employers, workforce partners, and community organizations.
• Maintain accurate student and program records; assist with data collection and reporting.
• Travel across the service area; engage in evening/weekend events as needed.
