Job summary

Aveda Institute New Mexico is seeking a Student Success Coordinator to guide students from orientation through graduation and into the professional world. You will build relationships, coordinate onboarding, support attendance, and help students access resources and career preparation.

You'll work closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, the Registrar/Business Office, and industry partners to ensure a consistent, high-quality student experience and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organize multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-up obligations.
• Comfort using email, calendars, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds and circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate new student orientations.
• Help new students transition from Admissions into active enrollment.
• Build relationships and serve as a visible, approachable resource throughout the school.
• Conduct student success and attendance intervention meetings.
• Develop and monitor Student Improvement Plans for students needing structure or support.
• Proactively follow up with students who may be struggling with attendance, engagement, or other barriers.
• Help students understand school expectations, available resources, and next steps.
• Coordinate externship opportunities and maintain relationships with salons, spas, and other industry partners.
• Maintain accurate and timely student documentation.
• Work across departments to create a strong, consistent student experience.
