Job summary

Aveda Institute New Mexico in Albuquerque is seeking a highly organized Student Success Coordinator to support students from orientation through graduation and into employment. You will collaborate with Admissions, Education, Financial Aid, and the Registrar to keep students engaged and on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-up obligations.
• Comfort using email, calendars, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds and circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate new student orientations.
• Help new students transition from Admissions into active enrollment.
• Build strong relationships with students and serve as a visible, approachable resource.
• Conduct student success and attendance intervention meetings.
• Develop and monitor Student Improvement Plans when students need additional structure or support.
• Proactively follow up with students who may be struggling with attendance, engagement, or other barriers.
• Help students understand school expectations, available resources, and next steps.
• Coordinate externship opportunities and maintain relationships with salons, spas, and other industry partners.
• Maintain accurate and timely student documentation.
• Work collaboratively across departments to create a strong student experience.
