Job summary

Aveda Institute New Mexico in Albuquerque seeks an Advisor to enhance guest experience and support cosmetology and esthiology students. You will greet guests, offer beverages, provide tours, educate on Aveda products, and assist service providers on the floor.

Responsibilities include hitting monthly sales goals, maintaining a clean, stocked environment, coordinating with instructors and team leaders, and representing the Institute at events and in the community.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Retail experience in the beauty industry is a plus.
• Must be able to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events.
• Demonstrated experience with computers.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine their needs.
• Offer beverages and a ritual to guests waiting for a service provider (student).
• Offer guests a tour of the Institute.
• Provide education regarding Aveda products.
• Participate in Institute events and community events.
• Maintain benchmarks and monthly sales goals.
• Provide support to service providers by checking guests in and out.
• Communicate schedule changes to service providers, instructors, and guests.
• Be knowledgeable of the Aveda Service Wheel and follow through with each guest.
• Attend meetings to stay informed about new products, services and growth strategies.
• Ensure the Institute is clean and stock is maintained.
• Communicate with Team Leaders and Advisor team about floor and retail updates.
