Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking an Academic Coach to deliver learning strategies through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and UNIV 100 instruction. You will develop individualized plans, assess student work, and contribute to curriculum while aligning with retention best practices.

The role supports flexible scheduling under the University’s Flexible Work Initiative, with an emphasis on student success and coordinated services across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Experience coordinating learning support services.
• Experience with instructional delivery in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach UNIV 100 sections; prepare lessons and assess student work.
• Contribute to UNIV 100 curriculum and resources; assist with module design.
• Manage a student caseload; conduct 1-1 coaching and respond to inquiries.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized learning plans.
• Deliver workshops and presentations for specific colleges and departments.
• Maintain accurate student records and data for reporting and assessment.
• Refer students to campus services as needed; work with supervisor to deliver efficient services.
