University of Arizona is seeking an Academic Coach to deliver learning strategies through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and UNIV 100 instruction. You will develop individualized plans, assess student work, and contribute to curriculum while aligning with retention best practices.
The role supports flexible scheduling under the University’s Flexible Work Initiative, with an emphasis on student success and coordinated services across campus.
The Academic Coach—a position within Think Tank, the university’s centralized academic support center—delivers learning strategies curriculum through one-on-one academic coaching, workshop facilitation, and teaching multiple sections of UNIV 100, the Math 100 studio course. The Academic Coach helps students develop comprehensive educational plans for academic success based on the student’s goals and needs. The Academic Coach also contributes to the design and delivery of academic support services that align with best practices in retention, student development theory and practice, learning strategies at the postsecondary level, and principles of educational planning.
The University of Arizona has established a Flexible Work Initiative to further explore options that support our employees while allowing them to successfully carry out day-to-day operations. This position is eligible for flexible scheduling. Flexible Work Arrangements will be evaluated every six months, or as needed to assess department workforce needs.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
