Job summary

KIPP Memphis is seeking a Graduation Coach to support high school students in achieving graduation and planning for post-secondary paths. You will analyze data to identify at-risk students, develop individualized and group engagement plans, and work with teachers, counselors, and guardians to remove barriers to graduation.

Responsibilities include implementing credit recovery options, coordinating transition programs, and conducting regular team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, training, or related content area.
• Master's degree preferred.
• A Tennessee teaching certificate in Teaching, School Counseling, School Psychology, School Social Work, or Leadership Knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Identify at-risk students and counsels to engage them in learning.
• Develop Engagement and Career plans with teachers, counselors, parents, and communities.
• Review plans each semester and adjust with involved parties as needed.
• Provide training or support to teachers on support measures for at-risk youth.
• Develop credit recovery and differentiated instruction options for at-risk students.
• Implement intervention strategies to help students stay in school and graduate.
• Develop Transition Programs and Vertical Teams with middle and high schools.
• Conduct quarterly vertical team meetings to improve transition success.
• Collaborate to ensure continued transition processes for 8th graders and freshmen.
• Facilitate collaborations with parents/guardians, community organizations, and resources.
• Connect students and families with community programs and mentors.
• Develop mentoring connections with local programs and coaches.
• Provide outreach to guardians of at-risk students.
• Submit reports as scheduled and requested.
• Attend ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
