Job summary

Shelby County Schools is looking for a Graduation Coach to assist high school students in graduation activities. This role involves counseling at-risk students, developing engagement and career plans, and collaborating with teachers and community organizations.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and five years of successful counseling or teaching experience. A valid Tennessee certificate in Teaching or other relevant areas is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee certificate in Teaching, Service, or Leadership Knowledge required.
• Five years of successful counseling or teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and counsel at-risk students to engage them in learning.
• Develop and implement engagement and career plans.
• Monitor student's engagement and career plans each semester.
• Provide training to teachers on support measures for at-risk youth.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop credit recovery options.
• Implement intervention strategies to help students graduate.
