Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools in Memphis seeks a Graduation Coach to guide high school scholars toward graduation and postsecondary readiness. You will identify at-risk students, develop tailored engagement and career plans, and coordinate interventions with families, teachers, counselors, and community partners.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, credit recovery options, mentoring, and schoolwide strategies to improve graduation outcomes across middle and high school transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Valid Tennessee teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of counseling or teaching experience.
• Experience with high school scholars at risk of not graduating.
• Ability to analyze academic and behavioral data to target interventions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with scholars, families, staff and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify at-risk scholars using academic and behavioral data.
• Counsel and support scholars with strategies to stay engaged.
• Develop individualized Engagement and Career Plans for scholars at risk of not graduating.
• Monitor plans and adjust with stakeholder input each semester.
• Identify barriers and coordinate supports with families and staff.
• Facilitate career exploration and transition planning.
• Coordinate graduation supports between middle and high school.
• Engage families and community mentors to support students.
• Maintain documentation and reports.
• Participate in professional development.
• Support transition programs between middle and high schools.
