Job summary

College of the Sequoias Community College District's Tulare Campus seeks a Student Success Coordinator to lead outreach for disproportionately impacted student groups, coordinate an academic engagement plan, and connect students with campus resources to boost persistence and success.

Located at the Tulare Campus, this full-time, 12-month role requires strong communication, collaboration with instructors and counselors, and ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years of professional experience in education or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Identify and track students by disproportionately impacted groups.
• Coordinate an academic success program for students while promoting an environment of academic excellence and promoting student success and retention.
• Coordinate between instructors, student services staff, counselors, and administrators to enhance the academic success of students.
• Facilitate appropriate responses to student Early Alerts.
• Administer a regular schedule of recurring student meetings to address student needs.
• Record attendance and individualized comments for each student after each session.
• Document progress, goals, to-do list, and any other information requiring follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of every student interaction including in-person visits, phone, and online consultations.
• Provide active leadership on current issues and trends related to college students’ academic success and retention.
