Job summary

Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California seeks a Student Success Coach to provide comprehensive academic advising, coaching, and case management for a caseload of students. The role emphasizes proactive outreach and individualized planning to promote persistence and degree completion.

You will develop Student Success Plans, review degree progress, and coordinate with campus resources to support academic, financial, and personal success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in academic advising or student coaching with proactive outreach.
• Experience using student information systems for caseloads and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for an assigned caseload of students, providing academic advising, coaching, and case management to promote engagement and degree completion.
• Develop and maintain individualized Student Success Plans and conduct degree progress reviews.
• Monitor student progress, outreach to at-risk students, and implement timely interventions and referrals.
• Guide students to campus resources and assist with course registration and navigation of institutional processes.
• Collaborate with Faculty Advisors, Academic Affairs, Registrar, Admissions, and other campus partners to coordinate support.
• Maintain accurate coaching documentation and analyze data to inform retention efforts.
