College of the Sequoias invites applications for a Grant Program Specialist / CTE Grants. The 3-year grant funded position is based at the Tulare College Center, full-time 7:45 a.m.–4:45 p.m., with initial placement at $62,733.

Under supervision, the specialist coordinates grant activities, supports counseling and outreach, and maintains records, budgets and reports to enable grant goals and student success. COS is dedicated to diversity and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with coursework in business or related field.
• Three years increasingly responsible secretarial experience in a position with public contact.
• Strong financial background.
• Experience in bookkeeping and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage the day-to-day activities of an assigned office to assure efficient and effective office operations; coordinate communications; relieve the administrator of administrative detail.
• Process purchase orders and maintain budget; order, issue and maintain department supplies, forms and equipment; receive, open and route mail.
• Maintain a variety of records, logs and student files including those of a confidential nature; prepare periodic and special reports and statistical data related to program activities and effectiveness; develop flyers, letters and brochures for promotional purposes as necessary.
• Plan and organize activities and programs to provide information and assistance to students regarding grant services.
