Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) in Clarksville seeks a Student Success Advisor to support students from pre-enrollment to completion, focusing on removing barriers to success and promoting timely degree completion.

The role entails building relationships, reviewing progress, and coordinating with faculty to deliver targeted support and training activities in a secure, office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years’ experience delivering direct support/services to students in a higher education setting.

Responsabilités

• Build relationships with students to achieve their identified goals and objects.
• Review student progress and track use of academic support services.
• Assist students in identifying factors that contribute to lack of academic progress, help students examine alternatives, and apply appropriate retention strategies to support students’ efforts.
• Strategize with faculty and other college staff as needed to improve support student success.
• Maintain accurate tracking data and notes for each assigned student, recommending appropriate referrals and opportunity programs.
• Support annual recruitment of new students.
• Create and conduct training sessions/workshops for students, faculty and staff.
• Assist with developing and implementing a variety of institutional retention activities.
• Participate in new student orientation and first year experience activities.
• Utilise an SIS student records system and be able to function within a computerized office environment.
