City Year is seeking an AmeriCorps Member in Ohio to coach and mentor students across grade levels, planning progress plans and collaborating with teachers to improve literacy, math, attendance, and behavior. Training is provided and you’ll work within school teams to create a supportive learning environment.

You’ll receive a bi-weekly living stipend and AmeriCorps education benefits as part of a national service program aimed at improving student outcomes.

Formación

• Be able to coach and mentor students across grade levels
• Plan and monitor student progress with teachers
• Collaborate in classroom settings to support learning
• Develop and implement behavior support strategies
• Engage families and help maintain a positive school climate

Responsabilidades

• Coach 1:1 or in small groups to improve literacy and math
• Create engaging activities aligned with student levels
• Monitor progress and participate in data reviews
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and routines
• Contribute to school-wide student engagement initiatives
