Job summary

Florida International University seeks an experienced Student Success Advisor to provide comprehensive support across the enrollment lifecycle for prospective and enrolled students. The role emphasizes guiding adult learners, navigating university processes, and coordinating with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Transfer & Transition Services to foster retention and timely graduation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 1 year of experience.
Experience delivering customer service or student support in educational settings.
Ability to coordinate services across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized student support from inquiry through enrollment and degree completion.
Proactively contact prospective and admitted students to assist with steps toward enrollment.
Guide students through onboarding, account access, registration, and required documentation.
Maintain regular communication with students to encourage progress and timely completion of milestones.
Coordinate with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Transfer/Transition Services to resolve student questions and barriers.
Monitor student progress and maintain confidential records of contacts and milestones.
Develop outreach campaigns to improve enrollment, retention, and graduation rates.
