Job summary

BRCC seeks a Student Success Advisor to provide direct support to program participants, assisting with admissions, FAFSA, scholarships, and transitions to postsecondary education and workforce training. The role covers advising, outreach, partnerships, and record-keeping within Academic Initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years' experience in academic support, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience providing academic support services.
• Experience with underrepresented/nontraditional students; familiarity with admissions and financial aid processes.
• Strong public speaking, interpersonal communication, writing, organizational, and technology skills.
• Ability to work independently in a results-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Advising, case management, and college access support for assigned participants.
• Develop and implement outreach and recruitment strategies.
• Build partnerships with schools and community organizations for referrals.
• Develop and deliver workshops on financial literacy, study skills, and college access.
• Maintain electronic participant records and monitor progress.
• Support creation of outreach materials and coordinate events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
