Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) is hiring a Student Success Advisor for the Clarksville Campus to track and assist students from pre-enrollment to completion, helping them overcome barriers to success in college.

The role requires strong advising, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on providing holistic support and coordinating with faculty and staff to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years’ experience delivering direct support/services to students in a higher education setting.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish; prior community college advising experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students to achieve their identified goals and objects.
• Review student progress and track student use of academic support services.
• Assist students in identifying factors that contribute to lack of academic progress and apply retention strategies.
• Strategize with faculty and college staff to improve student success.
• Maintain accurate tracking data and notes for each assigned student and coordinate referrals.
