Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Program Coordinator/Advisor for the Gus and Emma Thompson Black Resource Center to coordinate programs, advise students, and promote success, belonging, and well-being.

In this role, you will plan events, supervise student staff, collaborate with faculty and community partners, and support daily operations of the resource center while upholding SDSU's commitments to inclusion and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering programs that support student success and retention.
• Ability to advise students individually and in groups and connect them to campus resources.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for coordinating multiple programs and events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate BRC programs and events focused on student success and belonging.
• Coordinate signature and student-led programs throughout the year.
• Organize program schedules, budgets, and logistics; manage communications and spaces.
